I have about 80 pounds of fat to lose in order to achieve what is classically known as the "Greek Ideal". That is my goal. Trim body, honed muscle, excellent health. I am setting myself the goal of precisely one year from today to accomplish this.
To this end, I will be posting, in a dedicated Facebook photo album, a torso picture of myself every Monday to catalog my efforts. Every time I update this thing, I will be essentially begging for comments on said photos. Let me be blunt: I am counting on the support of those in my friends list to give me willpower. I seriously have none of my own. It will need to be borrowed, at least initially. I have a feeling once I'm off and running, seeing results, my willpower will improve greatly.
The first picture is now up. The project has begun.

Brace yourself!
I've seen worse. :)
Good luck with the weight loss project. Posting pictures on a public forum is quite a committment. I'm sure you have a lot of support and encouragement through this, as well as some accountability nowthat you've put yourself out there. It takes a lot of guts (no pun intended) to do this. I hope you keep up on the updates. I'm always interested in transformation progression.
I do have some advice, take it or leave it. You might also want to either post or at least write down for yourself your measurements and your weight. It's just a little more data to analyze that might help you see results. At this point, it's all about seeing something for yourself. That's the ultimate motivator.
We've been thinking of doing a similar project if Josh ever gets back into weight lifting. Part of it is that he had a hard time seeing results because it was so gradual. I could see it, but he couldn't and it was a bit demoralizing to him. I think doing what you're doing would have helped him a lot.
